A wonderful send off

Farewell flowers for The Curate and I
We returned to the North coast last Sunday for a lovely sending off service and superb lunch afterwards in the village hall. Everyone has been so kind - and we really enjoyed our day.

Today The Curate has his licensing service in our new church ... and there will be a coach load of familiar faces there from the North Coast. We look forward to seeing everyone again!!!
Could this be a beach hut?

You didn't get these on the beach!

Hello:
We are so pleased for you both that you had such a happy 'send off'. And we do wish you well, and your husband too, in the next stage of your lives.

You certainly have the most wonderful countryside within walking distance. Have a peaceful and relaxing weekend.

How lovely for you both and what a beautiful place you have moved to. One of the many great things about parish life is the warm welcomes given to new clergy and the wonderful farewells to departing clergy. I was always overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of parishioners. Such lovely people at heart, though life with them wasn't always easy, of course.

Oh, I love you new neighbours - am going a hideous shade of green!

So glad to hear that you're both finding the new beginnings easier than expected (the warmth of both send-off and welcome must have helped).
